Charles Ronald McKoy the son of  H.E. Edwards  and the late Martha Olivia McKoy, was born on July 3,1946 in Hoke County NC. He passed away at his home on December 6, 2017 in Wagram, NC.

Charles as a child resided in Raeford NC and attended Upchurch High School. He graduated from North Carolina A & T with a Bachelors degree in History and received a Masters Degree in Education from North Carolina Central University. After receiving his secondary education, Charles began his career working for the state of NC as a Child Support Investigator. He was also a public speaker and mentor for teenagers and young adults. He begin dating the love of his life Annie Carolyn Patterson who would soon become Carolyn Patterson McKoy. Five years after this joyful union Carolyn gave birth to a beautiful daughter Charolyn Erica McKoy which was the beginning of a beautiful chapter for the McKoy family tree. As a young man Charles joined Spring Branch Missionary Baptist Church and later became a faithful member of Freedom East Presbyterian Church of Raeford NC until he departed this life.

Charles leaves to cherish his loving memories: his daughter Charolyn of Charlotte NC, his father H.E. Edwards of Wagram, NC, a loving aunt Annie Gales of Laurinburg, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
