Eva Mae (McRae) Grace

Mrs. Eva McRae Grace, the daughter of the late William and Essie McRae, was born on May 22, 1943 in Raeford, NC. She joined the chariot of angels on Sunday, June 3, 2018. Eva graduated from Upchurch High School where she was a member of the basketball team and cheerleading.

She was joined in Holy Matrimony to James Edward Grace, who proceeded her in death and to this union 3 beautiful children where born. Eva was a dedicated wife, an absolutely loving mother and devoted friend and confidant to others.

She was a dedicated servant to McLauchlin Chapel serving as Head Deaconess and serving alongside her dear friend, Doris Walker, preparing many meals for the church family and others. She was employed at ITG(Burlington Industries) where she was still working actively for over 44 years of service.

Preceding her in death are her sister, Margaret Bratcher, brother Percy McRae, and brother William McRae, Jr.

She leaves to cherish wonderful memories of her to: son Patrick Nolan Grace(Trena) of Raleigh, NC, son Curtis Lamont Grace(Patrice) of Fayetteville, NC, daughter, Tamika Martina Grace of Charlotte, NC, niece Deborah McRae of Burlington NC, two grandsons Julien Covington and Jalin Barnes, sister Dorothy McNeill of Raleigh, NC, sister Lois Addison of Brooklyn, NY, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.] Mrs. Grace is survived by her children, Patrick Nolan Grace, Curtis Lamont Grace  and Tamika Martina Grace; her niece whom she raised as her daughter, Deborah G. McRae; sisters, Dorothy McNeill and Lois Addison; two grandchildren.
