Rev. Jesse L. Timmons was a faithful and devoted husband to his wife, Mary Ann Melvin Timmons for 43 years, a loving and outstanding father to: his one son, Joseph L. Timmons (Maria) of Winston-Salem, NC; two daughters, Michelle A. Payne (Marquine) and Monique A. Temoney (Leon) both of Greensboro, NC; two brothers, Willie L. Timmons of Miami, Fl. and Jerry Timmons of Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters, Barbara Holmes White, Gladys Timmons Cole of Miami, Fl. and Lucy Timmons Freeman of Miramar, Fl.; six grandchildren, McKenna A. Timmons, Jayce L. Timmons, Madison A. Temoney, McKinley A. Temoney and Marquine L. Payne, Jr. and Nina Payne; mother-in-law, Dorothy Lee McNeill of Raleigh, NC; four brothers-in-law, Vernon Lee of Raleigh, NC, Donnell McNeill of Macon, Georgia, Dwight Pitts (Donna) and John Rainey (Angelene) both of Fayetteville, NC; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Hicks (Larry) of Charlotte, NC, Lashawn Collins and Kenya Collins both of Raleigh, NC; through marriage, Jesse received love and respect from three special aunts: Lessie J. Melvin, Williamstown, Massachusetts, Ruby M. McArthur and Ruth M. King both of Hartford, Connecticut; several nieces, nephews; six “sisters” in Christ, Virginia L. Hill, Dorothy McLaughlin, Rev. Dr. Carol Lynn Brinkley, Melissa McAllister, Tonia L. Wakefield and Daphney Monroe; a special cousin, Charles E. Johnson; and other relatives and friends.
