James Leland Goodman

Mr. James Leland Goodman, age 88, transitioned from earth to glory on March 17, 2022. Mr. Goodman was born in Hoke County on July 30, 1933 to the late James Roy Goodman and Jessie Morrison Goodman. On September 26, 2009 James was preceded in death by his wife Mrs. Magdaline “Allene” Hough Goodman.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Daughters: Ms. Ruby Lene Goodman, and Mrs. Deborah Ann Goodman Ross (Jerry). Grandchildren: Dr. Jessica Shavonne Ross-Evans (Christian), Mr.Jeremy Trayvon Ross (Amanda), Mr. Emmanuel Lewis Ross. Great-Grandchildren: Sonia Michelle Ross, Ethan James Ross, and Zander Avery Evans. Sister-in-law: Ms. Dasiree Hough and Godchildren: Mr. David Hough (Minister Cindy), Rev. Stella Edens, Co-Pastor Prophetess Stephanie Balaam (Pastor Tyson), Mrs. Linda Byrd (Marshall) and Mrs. Yvonne Norris. He will be immensely missed by all the lives he touched in his 88 years. 

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 2 PM at the Leach Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Raeford, NC.
