Gertha "Mickey" (Walker) Nichols

Mrs. Gertha Mae "Mickey" Nichols, age 79 transitioned on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at her home in Paterson, New Jersery.   She is the daughter of the late George Kelly and Annie Nora Walker.  Mickey was born in Moore County and graduated from Pickney High School. After moving to New York she work for New York Telephone Company.

She leaves to cherish memories to her husband, Sylvester Nichols; children, Michael McDuffie (Darnetha), Sharon Mathis and Shelia McDuffie; siblings, Joann McEachin and Maxine Walker; great aunt, Lena M. Shaw and a host of grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 1:00 PM.  Burial will be held in McLauchlin Chapel Church Cemetery.
