Mrs. Sally Mae Ray, age 85 transitioned on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Woodlands Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She is the daughter of the late John Archie and Mary Frances McLaughlin.
Mrs. Sally Ray was preceded in death by her loving husband,George Edward Ray and a granddaughter that she reared Cassandra Jefferson. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: John M. Ray (Sandra) of Fayetteville, NC, and Roosevelt Ray (Joyce) of Raeford, NC, Mamie McLaughlin, Sally Ray, and Peggy Jefferson all of Raeford, NC.; her grandchildren that she reared, Latonya Ray, Sharon Jefferson, and Cherice Jefferson; siblings, John Archie McLaughlin (Dorothy Lee), Florella Dixon, Martha Williams, and Louise Frierson (Roger); one brother in love, John D. Ray (Jean) and one sister in love, Bobbie McLaughlin; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 2 PM in the McLauchlin Chapel Cemetery, Raeford, NC.
